Glymur (pronounced similar to the english word "Glimmer") is the first release for my solo project Monsoons. I named this song after the largest waterfall in Iceland, Glymur, which translates to "Rumble", a sound I tried to achieve for the outro of this song. During this past Fall I traveled to Iceland and spent two weeks driving around the country. While traveling, I came across information on this area called Hvalfjörður which contained Iceland's largest waterfall. The hike to the view of Glymur took 2.5 hours, with a 3 hour hike back down. It was a life changing moment, seeing and hearing this fall roar through the sky. I wanted to capture the emotion of that moment into this song, and share it with you.

All of the music was written and recorded in my house. The photograph was taken by a friend of mine in Moscow, Russia. Picture editing by Dan McGullam and Myself.
